Montmagny is the ideal compromise between open spaces and the trendy city. Parks, promenades and green spaces alongside shops, cafes and museums. The snow goose and accordion capital , Montmagny has much to offer. With its festivals and year-long entertainment, Montmagny will charm you!
Parc St-Nicolas
A well-kept secret, the Parc St-Nicolas offers over 12 acres of green space for the whole family: petanque, play areas, a basketball court, a water park, as well as cycling and foot paths. Bring your picnic basket!
Le quai Boulanger (The Boulanger Pier)
Enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the St Lawrence River basin and the waterfalls at the mouth of the "Rivière du Sud". The pier Boulanger has been recently transformed into an urban development that combines history with modern design: the "Garden des Souches". Rest areas, tranquility, shorebird watching and strolling on the pier make the "Garden des Souches" a must.

A Little Bit of Europe
Your experience would not be complete without a visit to old downtown Montmagny -- very European--to be seen and savoured. A timeless treasure hunt promising delightful surprises at every turn in the narrow streets. Specialized boutiques and friendly little cafes make it a stroller's paradise.

Year-Long Entertainment
All summer long, outdoor shows await passersby in the streets of Old Montmagny. In early September, the international accordion festival, the " Carrefour mondial de l'accordéon" offers five days of festivities for the delight of music lovers. Then, from September to June, top rated entertainers follow one after the other at the "Salle Edwin-Bélanger".
A Little History
Let the museum of the same name tell you all about the accordion. Learn about one of the "Fathers of Confederation" at the historical residence of Sir Etienne-Pascal-Taché. At the "Centre des migrations" discover the migratory routes of the Snow Goose as well those of the human population. It's a great book waiting to be opened!
