Located on the Atlantic, in the northern part of Ciego de Avila province, Cayo Coco covers more than 350 km2, mostly forest and magnificent beaches, a paradise of tropical vegetation, beautiful white-sand beaches and a coral reef to explore. It is connected to the main island of Cuba with a highway on a jetty more than 15 km wide.

To the west of Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo boasts the highest sand dune in the Caribbean and was once a favourite hangout of Ernest Hemingway. Resorts and spectacular beaches abound here.


An unspoiled hideaway on the south coast
Located offshore from the Cuban mainland, Cayo Largo is an islet fringed by fine powdery beaches and is one of over three hundred islets that compose the Los Canarreos Archipelago. Both divers and snorkellers will enjoy the amazing coral reefs found in the surrounding area. Water sports enthusiasts can partake of a wealth of activities in a near pristine environment. With an area of 37 km2, the island offers 24 km of virgin beaches.
