This beach is accessible from an 8-km trail that goes along the ocean. It's a perfect place for horseback riding, particularly at the end of the day when the sky turns red and yellow.

Las Galeras
A village with many beautiful beaches (Playa Cala Blanca, Playa Colorada and Playa Rincon, the most remarkable in the whole Dominican Republic.) This is a real gem, a picture postcard. Life in this little fishing community is always calm and serene.

Santo Domingo
Cradle of the New World, Santo Domingo offers cultural discoveries in the architectural treasures of the colonial city.

Boca Chica - Juan Dolio
The closest beaches to the capital, Boca Chica and Juan Dolio are wonderful places to go to discover the island.

Bayahibe
A former fishing village,  Bayahibe offers visitors fabulous beaches.

Punta Cana
Punta Cana has miles of white sand beaches fringed with coconut palms, all-inclusive hotels, artisans and golf courses.

Jarabacoa
Departure point for discovering the Salto Baiguate waterfalls, Rio Jimenoa, or an excursion to  Duarte Peak (3175 m), Jarabacoa is perfect for rafting, canyoning, hang-gliding, hiking and horseback riding.

Cabarete
One of the world's best spots for windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing. The beach is superb, and not far away is the Cabarete lagoon, a beautiful peaceful spot among the deep green hills. For those looking for more excitement, the city center has many bars, restaurants and discos which make Cabarete a hot spot at night.

Puerto Plata
In the center of the Amber Coast, 235 km north of Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata is a sun and water destination with lively streets and many beautiful beaches.

Las Terrenas
At the end of a winding road you arrive at a peaceful haven, where the roads are still unpaved. Arriving at Las Terrenas at sundown is an unforgettable sight. This spot is unique in the country, and attests to balanced tourism development: an example of peaceful cohabitation between Dominicans and foreigners.
